For something different, try Dinosaur Valley State Park in Glen Rose for spring break. This trip will provide a great education as the kiddos get to see some of the most well preserved in the world. Don’t have kids? Don’ worry, this trip will not disappoint. Take advantage of the beautiful hiking trails or enjoy the majestic waters of the Paluxy River.

 

2. Mustang Island

If you’re looking for the beach experience without the spring break party atmosphere, you may consider Mustang Island. You get the same Gulf coast experience in a much quieter setting. Outside of just the beach, you can also do plenty of shopping, great seafood and live music. Accommodations range from luxury condos to camping on the beach. All this makes Mustang Island a great vacation choice.

 

3. Marfa

For a completely unique vacation, Marfa, TX takes the prize. Marfa has become a global art destination after acclaimed minimalist artist Donald Judd left NYC in the 1970s and made this small town his home. Since then, the quant town also has accommodated the discriminating tastes of visitors with  world class dining, shopping and obviously art.
