Many of us will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo with margaritas but if the H-E-B Independent School District gets their way, they will be celebrating much needed funds for it’s growing neighborhoods.
Up for grabs is a whopping $199 million dollar bond proposal they hope the voters will say yes to. We have all seen the construction of new homes in Euless and the bond would include a new elementary school off of Midway Drive. The bond would also include plans to refurbish junior high schools that were built in the 70’s.
Of course nothing is free, so the bond would have an affect on home owners under 65 years old to the tune of $164 dollars a year. If over 65 years old, you can file for exemption.
