Glade Parks Town Center: Finally Shopping Without The Drive

Many of us are started enjoying the progress with Glade Parks Town Center when the main anchor store Belk opened in 2016. Now the 194 acre development which features 463,000 square feet of retail space is slotted for completion this summer.

Last week we wrote about the new luxury movie theater, Cinépolis, which is also part of the shopping center. Additionally, Dick’s Sporting Goods, Michaels, Kirkland’s, Ulta and Five Below are already open. More stores including Forever 21 Red (coming in March), Francesca’s, Old Navy and the big and tall store DXL are on their way.

For food, Austin based Hopdoddy will be opening in April. According to their website they are “Supporting a sustainable local economy, nurturing the environment, preserving the craft of food artisans, and contributing to change that will one day make cleaner, more nutritious, better tasting burgers available to everyone!”. A concept I can get behind. We can also expect an upscale eating experience when Imperial Hibachi opens. A lease for Neapolitan Pizza Company has been signed as well.

Lastly, Euless is finally going to have a nice hotel for out of town guests. Opening on May 1st, Aloft Hotel will open in the Glade Parks Town Center. Aloft Hotels are modern in design and have amenities geared for a younger hip crowd. They are known for utilizing technologies like keyless room entry and BOTLR, a robot for things like towels or toiletries delivered to your room.

It’s great to see they have plans for some kind of CENTER… it’s so sprawling right now. We need a green space with water… a splash pad for kids, or playground, next to an ice cream and/or coffee shop, or wine shop? Moms with kids do a lot spending when there’s an inviting space for them. Take a look at Klyde Warren and copy them. Everyone will show up and it will be fabulous for the community – families and singles alike!

I love Glade Park but the beautiful entry does not mention the name Euless. As you turn right across from Walmarts there is big brick sign letting you know you are in Bedford. In fact those brick signs are all over Bedford. You never have to guess if you are in Bedford or Euless.
